IntInteriors designed with many colors contribute to enlivening the space, bringing energy, and influencing the mood, atmosphere, and well-being of the people in it. Choosing the right color palette is one of the most important aspects to consider in interior design. Color highlights the style of a space and creates its ambiance. In our blog, we discuss how to choose the right colors, how they affect people in a room, and how to style them properly.

Which colors should you choose for your interior?
When choosing colors for the living room, we have plenty of room for experimentation. The choice often depends on how much time we spend in the room and its purpose. Warm, subtle colors like beige, cream, or brown tones create a cozy atmosphere. In contrast, cool colors like blues or grays give the living room an elegant touch.
The kitchen and dining room are important spaces, as the colors chosen unconsciously can affect appetite. Therefore, it is advisable to choose neutral colors like white or gray. However, for those who love color, red, orange, or yellow tones can work well in both the kitchen and dining room.

The bedroom is a place of rest, so it's recommended to choose calming colors like beige, blue, green, or soft pinks, which allow for peaceful relaxation. The bathroom should remind us of cleanliness, so choosing blues and greens conveys a sense of freshness and purity.

Subtle or vibrant colors?
The choice between vibrant and subtle colors depends on the effect you want to achieve.  Vibrant colors give energy to the interior, are bold, and attract attention. They are perfect for spaces where we want to add more energy, dynamism, and joy. Subtle colors, on the other hand, create a calm, elegant atmosphere. They are versatile, easy to combine with other colors, and work well as a background.

For bold tones, it’s advisable to opt for minimalist accessories in neutral shades to avoid overwhelming the space. Wood, beige, white, or black are perfect for balancing the intensity of the colors.
In an interior with subtle colors, it’s worth adding expressive elements, such as colorful pillows, artwork, or decorations, to enliven the room and prevent monotony. Textures like velvet, linen, or wool bring depth and warmth to the space.
